Uh oh

UPDATED AT BOTTOM:

Tim has Influenza A. It came on in the middle of the night and he was freezing but we thought maybe he was just cold. This morning he went to the doctor and was sent over to the hospital for a chest X-ray, blood work and other tests. I slept next to him all night in the germ pool...He, Jenna and I had flu shots. Ashley did not because she was/is still too young (must be six months old to get one) and since I could not breastfeed her she is not as protected as other babies might be. I also did not get vaccinated in time when I was pregnant and as it turns out even if I had it wouldn't have mattered because the girl showed up two weeks early! Oh the joy of it all. Jenna and Ash have coughs and runny nose but were at the pediatrician yesterday for Jenna's well (with a cold) check for turning three. I had her listen to Ashley's lungs too because she sounded worse to me that the past two times she has had bronchitis. I have had a runny nose for months. My colds and allergies have been out of control this season. Anyway, I am waiting to hear back from the kids' doctor to see what they want to do. I am on Tamiflu to prevent/treat the flu if I get it. Tim is on it to help get better along with a few other medicines. Influenza A is the pandemic type of kill everybody in the old days flu. :o( If I am not around now I am busy and trying to rest. I am running this show alone for the time being. Please pray for Tim to get well soon and for the rest of us, especially Bebe, to remain well (or not get any worse!)

Now, to end with a funny that just happened. Jenna wanted to play with play dough at school this morning and they got it out and let kids play with it. She said she had fun and I asked if she told her friends she had play dough at home. Her answer, "They don't care." I said, "They don't?!" She said, "No. No one cares."

+++++++
The kids' doctor called me back and there is not much we can do but treat Ashley if she gets it. Jenna will be on Tamiflu (liquid form) as well. Thank God for my Mom because she is going to get it and bring it over so I don't have to mount out again with both kids. Two hours to run down the street for the medicines earlier was just too much to bear.

Our house just got over this! I will definatly keep you all in my prayers. My husband brought it home and had it the worst. Luckily we all got on Tamiflu and only my 2yr old showed symptoms and they were very slight. Take care.

Oh no - I will say prayers for you all. If it makes you feel any better, I saw a thing on the news that said the flu shot wasn't as effective as it has been in the past, but hopefully it will keep you all from getting really sick. Love to you - get lots of rest.. and eat chicken noodle soup!

Jenna's comment was too funny :) I hope Tim's better soon and the rest of you stay well.

Ouch. We will definitely pray that the rest of you don't get it. Especially little Ash.
