Not Fun Day at the Dentist and School

I had my root canal yesterday. It was NOT. WHAT. I. EXPECTED. NOT AT ALL. I have had them before, (sad, I know) but never while I was pregnant. Turns out one who is pregnant cannot have as much numbing stuff (it has epinephrine in it) and my Obstetrician said to use as little as possible. Just another fun aspect of being pregnant. Can't ride fun rides, can't see your toes ands the list goes on and on. Nice to know. I was hurting during the root canal and could feel things during the procedure but knew he was almost done so I just held on. After, the tooth started hurting WORSE! I asked if this was normal, as it had not happened to me before, and then the dentist told me about using less numbing stuff, etc. Oh, now I see...He said he'd give me a little more to make me comfortable but I thought it was best not to if the Obstetrician had said that. So I made it out of the day alive. Not too much pain after but it was definitely not pleasant. It IS, however, driving me a bit batty right now though.

Anyway, last night Tim, Jenna and I went to Jenna's school's Open House. She met her new teacher and saw her new classroom. She even met some new kids. Luckily, her two favorite little friends are going to be in her class again this year, so yay! Jenna liked her teacher and the teacher liked Boo (ha ha). We also got to see Jenna's teacher and co-teacher from last year and they immediately asked to see Boo. He is so popular. Even her friends remembered him. Jenna did not want to leave the Open House because she wanted to play and see her friends. Tim got her out of there by telling her we had to eat dinner - we'd get Chinese food on the way home, one of her favorites - and then we'd have some cake after dinner for dessert. That did it and we were saying our good byes and heading for the door right away! She is also the only kid potty trained in there and wearing real, big girl panties. :o) We worked so hard and now Jenna is even more proud of herself. Some of the other kids are learning so they will be trying to go potty during the day when Jenna goes. Jenna's school starts Tuesday morning and she is really excited to be going back! She will be going Tuesday and Thursday morning again this year.

Tim had to work again this Saturday (as he did last and will next Saturday as well) because the summer is super busy at his work with paint jobs. Jenna and I were going to go out and then we just didn't. We were entertained enough here I guess. We had a girly day and took a shower and bubble bath together. (The bath right after the shower a la Jenna's favorite thing to do.) We watched "Milo and Otis" not once, but twice while playing. I just bought it for her yesterday. We were all clean and then when Tim came home this afternoon we decided to take a walk. Jenna wanted to ride in her wagon. We ended up down at the park but didn't stay long. It was so hot and the bugs were terrible or "real bad" as Jenna says. Molly came too and nearly had a heat stroke. ( I might have had one too...)She looked all crazed when we got home and is trying to sleep it off now.

Well, I need to go eat. Surprise, surprise...I was snacking earlier and didn't really eat a dinner so I'm off for now!

Oh Kelly, Jenna looks like a 4 or 5 year old in this picture! She's so pretty :) Had to laugh and Molly and the heat stroke - the crazed look was too funny :) Hope she (and you) are better!

Yay for potty training progress - you're ahead of us, that's for sure.

I can't see the pic???

Okay, I nearly had to leave without commenting. This song made me burst into tears and I can't stop crying. I obviously need to keep the sound off of my computer for awhile. I am so depressed about moving!! Good grief!
