Pepperoni?!

We saw a skunk at the pet store after church today.  Jenna knows that skunks can spray and today we told her about how some people even have them as pets - with the "stinker" removed.  Some people keep as pets like a cat.  I know.  I prefer the cute hedgehogs they had there.    Or the marmoset.  I really do want my very own monkey.  The lemur and the marmoset kissed Ashley's hand. 

Back to the skunk...

On the way home, the following was said:

Jenna: Why do skunks spray?

Tim: To protect themselves.

Me: And I think sometimes if they get startled they spray.  It stinks.  But that one in the pet store had it's "stinker" removed.

Jenna: What does it smell like?

Me:  It is indescribable. 

Tim: Like poop.

Me:  I think it may be worse than poop...

Nothing more was said about that.  I assure you Jenna did not stop talking though.

A few minutes later...

Jenna: I wonder if it smells like pepperoni?!  

Kids say the funniest things.
