Ashley liked to climb on top of her gifts and then tap them with her index finger. Like that would open it.
We hadn't even done the cake at this point and she looks partied out! She had pulled her tutu up under her arm pits and that got loads of laughs!
She loved the Elmo Jenna got her! (And apparently, so did I...)
And now for the cake smashing!Here is the big cake. They did it in "Strawberry Shortcake" colors. An idea I liked until red was everywhere!

The party did not end in tears as I thought it would - even after she got a hose down by Daddy in the sink and then a bath while guests were here.Hope you had as much fun as I think you did, Ashley!

Happy 1st Birthday, Ashley! Oh my gosh, how adorable! Love the cake/icing all over her! Precious! I never was able to get my kids to "dig in" to their cake on their 1st birthday. You've got some terrific pics there!
