Why Oh WHY?!

Why do men think that camouflage is a neutral like brown or black? What goes through their minds? Maybe this:

Plain red with green camo? Check.
Red striped shirt with camo? Check.
Stripes with camo? Check.
Plain t-shirt that is not brown, white or even black? Check.
Plaid with camo? Oh, why not? Check!

When asked about this Tim says it IS a neutral color like black or brown. I,myself, don't get it. I can see where he is coming from, but the print makes it NOT NEUTRAL. I have learned to just let him be happy.

Case in point,* the love of my life:
His pose says it all. "What?!?!"

This is not an unusual outfit for my husband. Sometimes it's a red t-shirt and sometimes it's something with stripes. In his defense, he has never worn plaid with the camo but I would not be surprised if I saw a guy do this.

*He agreed to this post and let me take this picture of him last week.

Must be some kind of genetic anamoly where Tim got all the pattern and color genes in excess, because Matt stole all the neutral genes that make him unable to wear anything that isn't denim, dark blue, black, or dark gray.

I TOTALLY understand where you are coming from!! My husband took all his old military uniforms from the dessert and made shorts out of them. Wore them out to the point of holes in the seat! (I did a little happy dance when that happened!) But now he has real camo shorts and yes, wears them with pretty much any shirt!! :-)

I have to give Tim a little credit. We treat camo as a neutral in our house too. Grant has them on right now! I agree that stripes and plaid don't work. He does pair them with navy, red, brown, orange and blue.

I have to go with Tim on this one...Brandon wears just about anything with his camo and I dress both of our boys in their camo shirts regularly with all kinds of shirts.

My husbnad does the same thing with his camo shorts. I just have to let it slide! I already dress three humans every day...sometimes twice...and I figure more people are looking at my girls than my man! :)

I think the logic behind this is that you can't actually see the parts that are dressed in camo because well, it's camo. So the part of him that is actually visible is lookin' good! What do you think?
