Ashley had her first well baby check appointment on Wednesday. She has gone from her birth weight of 7 pounds and 1 ounce to 7 pounds 9 ounces and is still 20 inches long. She enjoyed her first real outing and will get shots next visit in a couple weeks. Other than going to my parents' house this was her first outing. Saturday we are celebrating my Dad's birthday at my parents' house so that will be her next outing. Today is is cool and rainy and yucky outside. Sunday she will debut at church and she is very excited and trying to decide between a few dresses she has been given. (While she has a lot of clothes that were her sister's, she wants to wear new things when she debuts and I can understand that).
Anyway, Jenna went over to "Nanapa's" after school yesterday to make my Dad a birthday cake. She got confused last night, however, and right after dinner at our weekly "
dinner party" she began to sing, "Happy Birthday" to my Dad. It was so sweet and so sad at the same time. So, needless to say she is gearing up to sing to him tomorrow night. Happy birthday, Dad (and "Pa!") We love you!
