Some days...

...it just never ends!! If you'll notice I added a new category called "Terrible Twos." They seemed to have hit late. Or maybe it is just her cold bothering her, but Jenna has been one hard child to deal with this week! We started off a little later than I'd have liked in getting ready for school because it basically took me blasting her out of bed yesterday morning. Once she was finally up I heard, "My Boooooo!" We spent a good 30 minutes looking for him, putting us further behind. I even said, "Jenna, would you consider going to school without Boo?" I then heard, "Sccc-ccchool? With - ooout Boooooo?!?!?!" Not good. Anyway, Jenna FINALLY found him in the living room. When I asked her where he was, she pointed to the middle of the room on the floor. Um, no, I would have seen him but I was just glad we found him!

I took her to school. She "couldn't wait" to get there. Until we got there. Then she didn't want to be there. Crisis averted though after a few minutes and all was well. They were working on the letter "D" this week. She did end up having a good day at school aside from the fact that they were to have some dogs come in and they did not make it to their class in time. Jenna saw one as it was leaving and pet him and she got her fix. They made doughnuts. They seem to bake more things this year than last year and she LOOOVES it. When I picked her up from school I saw a couple other kids had doughnuts they had made and when I asked where Jenna's was. Oh, I knew where it was...in her belly! They said, "Oh, she ate hers!!" I said, "That's my girl. She was probably afraid I'd eat it!!"

We got home and she wanted Mac and Cheese. I made it, she took a bite and was "all done." Ugh. That was it...not much lunch and not much breakfast was eaten yesterday.

She waited until 30 minutes before we had to take Molly to the vet to fall asleep. She NEVER naps. I woke her up and thought she'd be fine. I was wrong. Her hair had come down and her shirt was dirty from school so I had to change her clothes. She did not cooperate and she did not enjoy this at all. Me either. I had to physically hold her up and dress her. She weighed like a million pounds!! She was fighting and kicking THE. WHOLE. TIME!! ARGHHHH!! She decided that she did not want to go to the vet with me and Molly. There are always other cats and dogs there - some even "work" there. Then I had to do her hair. That did it. She ran in the bathroom and got wedged in where SHE KNEW I COULDN'T FIT THROUGH TO GET HER!!!!! I begged and pleaded all for naught. I decided to give her a few minutes to calm down. It was now 3:05 and our appointment was at 3:20. We live about five minutes away. I called Tim and since it was almost the end of the day for him asked him if he could head home early and watch Jenna and I'd take Molly to the vet in peace. He agreed and I went back to something from "Poltergeist." And, AND! She had peed all over herself and the bathroom floor!! Like from Tim's sink over to where we now keep our hamper by the jacuzzi! I do not even know when her last accident was but I couldn't believe it!! I don't know if she was mad and did it or was so upset it just happened but that was the straw that broke the camel's back. I knew after all this that something wasn't right and she really MUST have been feeling rough. She has had a bit of a cough all week. By now it was 3:15. I called and canceled Molly's appointment with the vet. She was laying in the kitchen. I said, "Molly, you're off the hook for today" and I promise you I could see her looking secretly pleased. And then I went in to the bathroom and asked Jenna if she wanted to change clothes again. She said yes and so I did. Then I went back in to clean up the floor. Glad it wasn't on carpet, but still. She then got upset that we were NOT going to the vet. UGH...

Tim got home a few minutes later and we agreed that if Jenna fell asleep we'd let her and deal with her waking in the middle of the night if or when it happened. She slept for two hours and seemed a bit better. We went to my parents' for dinner and she had fun but before bed her cough did seem worse. She slept till 6:30 AM and then fell back asleep on the love seat and woke again at 7:30 AM today.

That's it for now. I thought posting this would make me all worked up again but it didn't. Thank goodness!

I hope Miss Jenna is feeling better. I am laughing at her hiding in a tight spot where she knew you couldn't fit! I've got 3 girls over here who would fit right in with her.
