This morning started off with a bang. The bang of my bottom hitting the kitchen floor at full speed. I was fearful because it was Groundhog Day, what if I was to relive this moment over and over again? I would surely die. Here we go:
Jenna and Ashley were playing with Molly this morning when Jenna yelled, "Molly pooped in the kitchen!!" Oh great. She had JUST come back in from outside. There was NO excuse for this. NONE! I knew Ashley was in there too so I bolted and got in there. She has never been one to "play in poop" as some kids do (thank goodness) but one just never knows...It was like an elephant had been in there. So much poop for such a little dog. I thought, "Dear God, give me strength and don't let me die from the poop fumes!" It was awful. I started picking it up with toilet paper and I took some to my bathroom to flush. I came back to get more and I guess I dropped some because next thing I know I was on the ground. I had slipped when I STEPPED in some - thank God for my slippers, I would have died if I was barefoot or in socks - but I shot across the kitchen floor...The smell became unbearable at this point. I was gagging and had tears in my eyes. Jenna was gagging and saying, "I'm not going to breathe anymore..." I told Jenna I was about to throw up and she said she was too. We were trying not to breathe through our noses but then I started thinking I could taste it. I started feeling much worse. I had to throw my slippers and a kitchen rug in the washer and then had to clean and disinfect the kitchen floor while still smelling it. I had the kids put in another room where they couldn't get to it. Molly got in trouble and put in time out (her kennel). Yes, the dog was put in time out. I was so mad and grossed out and it was a nightmare trying to get the reek out of the kitchen. It took a few washings and hot water and bleach on the slippers but I think they may be alright. But it was almost time for a new pair anyway...
Nothing like this happens to other people!
And yes, I am to the point where I can see the humor tonight, but this morning I was in a rage.
HAPPY MONDAY!

OMG!!!! HYSTERICAL..and we had a poop moment of our today...I looked up to see Reagan carrying a piece of kitty poop toward me and saying "what's that!?!?!" I nearly died...and then promptly scrubbed her skin off!
Oh.Yuck!!! I felt nauseated by the time I finished reading this. Don't know how you stood it!! What size do you wear? I'll send you some new slippers ;)
Oh my gosh! What a poop story!
OMGoodness! How awful, yet very funny to read about :-) I'm glad you find the humor in it now, but I would have been right there with you in a rage & and gagging trying to clean it up.
Oh my gosh. What a way to start out the day. I'm glad you can laugh about it now. That's the thing with poo.......it takes a little time to be funny! :)
GROSS!!!! Not sure I would be able to find the humor in that if it had been me!
