Halloween 2008!

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN! (A day late...)

To see last year go here and here.

*My dad helped and took some of these pictures. Thanks, Dad!*

Here is Jenna doing her pumpkin yesterday. I really recommend these if you have younger kids. It said ages four and up but she did fine.
The finished product:Jenna was a ladybug fairy. She HAD TO BE ONE. Saw it and talked about it for weeks and I gave in. Ashley was a jaguar. This was her second Halloween but her first one dressing up and Trick-or-Treating. She LOVED it! I got Molly a Yoda costume last year on clearance for this year, but it was too big, so she wore a repeat. She was a ladybug. And Tim, well, I'll tell you what he was in a minute. And I was one TIRED mommy. :o)

Jenna: Ladybug Fairy
Ashley: Jaguar
Ashley had a pink bow on one of her ears. It is visible in some of the photos farther down.Molly: Ladybug (People LOVED that she and Jenna were dressed alike!) Molly DOES go with us.Tim: Your friendly neighborhood peeping tom
I did not let him go out like that. He looked more like this. It was actually chilly here for Halloween!
Me and my little Jaguar!
We didn't get far before Jenna found a frog. He came with us. She actually said, "But Daddy I love him!"
Jorge (Yes, she names a lot of frogs that.)The girls in their wagon. Numerous times Ashley had candy in her mouth with the wrapper still on it. She usually had one piece IN EACH HAND! Notice Jorge in Jenna's hand?
So excited!!
Happy to be!After all the Trick-or-Treating, Ashley got in the candy basket.
Then, once she was ready for bed she started taking candy out and throwing it up in the air...And she later rolled around on in it on the floor! Too funny!
Would you believe neither of them had any candy last night? :o) Jenna didn't even ask!

Thanks to Nana and Pa for coming over and handing out candy for us!

You guys look like you had a wonderful Halloween! Love the costumes and I will so have to look for those 'hammer-in' decorations for the pumpkins for next year. (Very kid/mess friendly!) Loved Molly's costume too! Our Pedro was a pirate :-)

what a cute story! loved the pics, but visualizing Ash throwing the candy up and then rolling on the floor cracked me up! And Jenna with this buggy fetish?! yew, think she'll be some sort of animal handler or vet?

Stacia, we did! You still have to get the stuff out of the pumpkin and all that but then the kids can do it themselves. I got it at Target and it was less than $4 with three designs to pick from.

Jenny, thanks!!

Nancy, I was the same way...Bugs, frogs, etc. (More so bugs and lizards than frogs though...)

The frog DID live through the night and we forced her to let him go after we got home!

P.S. I am thinking Ash and Noah are two of a kind...

How funny that we had the same lady bug costimes. Unfortunately, my girls wanted nothing to do with the headband that went with it. And Ashley as a Jaguar is adorable.

What a cute ladybug fairy & little leapord! Looks like the girls had a fun Halloween. That's so funny that Jenna never even asked for a piece of candy! I will definitely have to look for that pumpkin decorating kit next year - Gabrielle would LOVE that!
