First Day of School 2008

I tried to take some pictures of Jenna this morning before I took her to school. We were ahead of schedule and doing great for time, but Jenna was not the usual cooperative subject she normally is. In any case, here are some pictures from Jenna's first day of school. She picked out this outfit last night to wear today. (I don't know why her tummy is showing...I think she was sticking it out.)
The standard with-the-backpack picture:
Backpack on? Check.
Eyes slammed shut? Check.
Painful looking smile? Check!
Tummy out - again( Or still?!) Check.
Jenna playing in her new classroom. When I took her in she said, "Why am I in this classroom now?!" I told her it was because she is three and this is where the three year olds go for class. Then, a boy from her class last year came up, flexed his biceps (haha) and said, while holding up FOUR fingers that he was three too. Hmmm...She found a dinosaur and she's hooked. I can leave! Now, prepare yourself. These next two pictures are extremely sad. Ashley wanted to stay at the school with Jenna and when I put her in her big kid -still rear-facing car seat she lost it. She threw herself forward and into the car seat.
And was inconsolable. Until I told her we were going grocery shopping - just her and me. Then, she was A-O.K. When we picked Jenna up she said she had a lot of fun. She likes her class and her teacher. I asked her if they went outside and what they had for snack. They had goldfish crackers and lemonade. Jenna said, "I told Ms. K that I don't like lemonade that's 'cuz I like apple juice and water. So I had water." She never wants any of the Kool-Aid or Capri Suns or drink mixes there. This is her third year at this school (she started at 18 months) and she always has to have water.

Then we went to Nanapa's house for lunch and got to see Nana, Pa and Jason and the puppies and kitties. I took some pictures of the girls.

Enchantée.
Ashley in a necklace she stole out of Jenna's room while she was at school. And so it begins..."That's MY sash!"Sister Kisses!
And remember this post? Well, it seems Ashley is following in her sister's footsteps and enjoy these. My mom and dad got some a couple of weeks ago and the girls love them.

Poor little Ash! She so wanted to stay and play at school!! Love the 'first day' pics of Jenna. You are so lucky she tells you about her day. Mine usually say 'I can't remember, or I don't know' :-)

Now why do I have the feeling that poor Ash is going to want to do so many things just like her big sis that are going to end with that face because she's just too little? I LOVE how much she loves Jenna. Adorable.
