31 Weeks: Who Knows What Status!

As of yesterday, I am 31 weeks pregnant, large and in charge...Baby girl #2 is nearly four pounds and 17 inches tall. (Jenna was 21 inches at birth, but Baby girl #2 is getting there.) If you'll notice the title of the post "31 Weeks: Who knows what status" it is because I cannot find an approximate size of a 31 week old fetus. So, maybe I will be able to next week or maybe from here on out the baby is just the size of a teeny, tiny baby. Who knows...

I had my obstetrician appointment this morning and everything is going well aside from the fact that I had to sit, wait and then GO TELL THEM they needed to see me. I had to tell them that I had to go get Jenna from school in 10 minutes and then they got right in there. Maybe they forgot about me?? Anyway, I made it to the school just in time. I got a prescription for Zantac for my heartburn AKA fire throat as I call it...It is getting unmanageable so hopefully this will help. Anyway, on to baby news: Baby girl #2 is preparing and turning to be head down for birth. (She is so good!) Her heart rate was in the 130's. This is still so weird to me because Jenna's was always at the top of the scale. Should have seen her coming! She is a fireball! Maybe this baby girl will be more laid back?? Probably not...This is why we thought this baby may be a boy in the beginning even though guessing the sex of the baby with the heart rate does not usually work. It was/is so much slower than Jenna's. I am measuring at 31 weeks, which is good. I have gained two pounds since the last visit two weeks ago (should be gaining about a pound a week now), so I am at a large 19 pounds now for pregnancy weight gain. I know I will be over 25 pounds this time - there is no way around it. I guess you get bigger with each pregnancy - who knows...Luckily, this is my last. (This time I mean it!!) Anyway, they suggested I gain between 25-35 pounds so I guess I will be O.K. If it is at all like with Jenna it'll all be gone pretty fast (hope, hope, hope...)

This morning I was getting dressed and I tapped my belly when Jenna looked at me. (She was playing on my bed with Molly.) Jenna then said, "Too round, Mom!!" Ooooo.K. As if I didn't know.
