Our Disney Trip

(The slideshow is below.)

We stayed at my Grandma's house in Orlando. My Mom and Dad were there to see my Grandma in her rehab facility (she comes home May 10th). So, Gizmo and Sassy (Mom and Dad's furbabies) were there. The Gizmonster was not pleased to see Jenna (or Molly either for that matter) and kind of growled at Jenna. Jenna pointed at Gizmo and said, "That's a bad dog." It was too funny. Then they all kind of got over themselves and did fine all weekend. Jenna also cannot (or will not) say "Gizmo" so she calls him "Brown" because, well he has some brown on him.

We went all the the rides we wanted to and when I say "we" I mean "we" as the family with a two year old. Tim and I went on no real "big kid" rides because we had Jenna and I am preggo and cannot have any fun! But we still had a great time.

We took the tram from the parking lot ($10 to park!) and rode the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. We rode the Jungle Cruise, went in the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House and then ate lunch. Jenna even went all healthy and even decided to eat some carrots dipped in ketchup...Then it all blurs together but other rides we rode are as follows: Pirates of the Caribbean (which Tim was afraid Jenna would get scared but she rode it and was saying "Argh!" like a pirate!) I think it was on this ride that we almost lost Boo. That would have ended and ruined the trip right then and there! Those of you who read know how important Boo is! Everywhere Jenna goes, Boo goes. We also went on Small World, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride (which took over where Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was), the train around the whole park, the Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm (the kiddie roller coaster - Jenna's favorite and we HAD to ride it twice!) We also went on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Tomorrowland Transit Authority and the Indy Speedway (the race cars). We also did the Pooh Play area and the play area in Mickey's Toontown Fair section. We went to a Monster's Inc. thing but we thought the characters would be in there, dancing, singing, etc and they weren't. It was more like them trying to make unfunny things funny and it couldn't get over with fast enough. (It was short.) We also went in Mickey's house and Minnie's house. We only "met" Mickey because all the other characters had such lines, so we thought we'd meet one of the most important ones. We saw Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White (with their men) from a distance while they were on stage and Mickey and Minnie were also up there singing and dancing. We also saw Chip and Dale, Tigger (who is neon orange!), Winnie the Pooh, Daisy, Minnie Mouse and many others around the park. The longest we had to wait in a line was about twenty minutes and that is GREAT for this time of year. In the Summer it gets waaay out of hand wand waits can take over an hour for really popular rides! We walked the whole park and went on what we wanted to (and what we could with Jenna and preggo ole me). We then took the ferry back to the tram area. I don't think I had ever done that and Jenna is all about getting on boats lately so we decided we'd do that. She did so well the whole day and had a blast. No tears and that is unusual for a preschooler...

Then Sunday we went to the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. And of course Jenna loved that. At her age, EVERYTHING is real and every day is the best day ever. I love that about kids. :o)

We are already trying to figure out when and where we can take our next trip.

Ooh! You should take your next trip to Missouri! We have theme parks and a zoo with lots of elephants and giraffes a cool museum for kids, and I'm sure it would be perfectly pleasant to drive for two days with a two year old. Or not. ;)

You're so right about every day being the "best day ever" for kids this age. Doesn't it make you glad to be a mommy?
